Filming for the second series of the show is currently underway
Walton Goggins has teased more about Fallout season two, describing it as “a whole ‘nother level.”

Earlier this year, the White Lotus actor said the second season of the hit Amazon Prime Video show will “blow [the first] out the water”. An adaptation of the hit video game series, Fallout became the most-streamed show on the platform when it was released in April 2024. It was also nominated for 16 Emmy Awards and inspired a “surge” of people to play the games.
Goggins, who stars as The Ghoul in the show, has now given an update on season two in a new interview with Complex.
He confirmed that the cast and crew are now “deep into Season 2 of Fallout”, adding: “Now that people understand what the world is, this story just takes it to a whole ‘nother level.”
Goggins continued: “I’ve been around a long time, and usually a show that people are attracted to, with that licence, the second season really starts cooking, right? That’s when some real magic can happen. And we’re deep into Season 2. It says a lot about a lot.”
He also added that season two “stays in these lanes of the tone that was kind of set, but then veers outside of them in the most interesting ways.”
Fallout had been due to resume production after a Christmas break in January, but was delayed due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
Season one ended with the three main protagonists of Fallout (Ella Purnell’s Lucy, Goggin’s The Ghoul and Aaron Moten’s Maximus) heading to what used to be Las Vegas. Showrunner Graham Wagner has since confirmed that a version of Fallout: New Vegas’ Mr. House will play a big role in the upcoming season.
Also joining season two of Fallout is Macaulay Culkin in a recurring role. Not much else has been shared about his character but it’s believed he’ll play a “a crazy genius-type character.”
According to Bethesda director Todd Howard, everything that happens in Fallout is canon to the lore of the video games. He later revealed that several plot points from the TV show were rewritten to avoid clashes with plans for future Fallout games.
