FC Barcelona manager Xavi has dropped a light hint on whether to start his Brazilian magician Vitor Roque, as the youngster would be pumped up to get his first start for the Catalan colors. Having got some minutes under his belt in the previous games starting this year, Roque would be interested to showcase his skills if he is named in the starting line-up.

Vitor Roque, the Brazilian attacker, has been one of the rising stars in the Brazilian football sector, often considered to be the Mecca of footballing talents. Nicknamed Tigrinho, the youngster has had his fare share of exuberance and talent while he was at fray with Brazilian greats Atletico Paranaense, scoring and assisting goals for fun. He joined the Spanish defending champions this year, and has showcased his skills on display when he played some few minutes in each game which has Barca played this year. He would be eager to follow the footsteps by his predecessors Neymar and Ronaldinho, thus exhibiting the Brazil-FC Barcelona corridor quite prudently.
With an away match slated against Real Betis this weekend, Roque has been named on the travelling squad. It was reported that a minor injury had disrupted his easygoing flow with the club, as Xavi looked to ease the first-team duties on him following the knock.

“He is 100%”
With quite a few changes to his attacking slots by Xavi in Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup games, which has included Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres as the regular starters, Roque could be racing for the third slot, owing to his exceptional talent of scoring out-of-the-world goals, as people have seen excerpts from his Brazilian career.
After impressing in training, Xavi might make his move to name Tigrinho on the starting eleven, as he was heard saying, according to reports in Mundo Deportivo “He had a little injury, but now he’s 100%. It’s up to me to decide if he plays. He got minutes against Unionistas and he’s player who can offer us things in attack.”
Even if he does not start, he would be the first attacker who would be introduced on the field.
