Is Harry Brook the best Test batter in the world? The ICC ranking algorithm recently thought that he is, but does anybody else, anybody human? Does Harry Brook think it, too? Immediately after his ascension to that proud summit, he made a first-ball duck and one in Hamilton, the paltriest return in any of his 24 Tests to date, so maybe he decided to troll that algorithm right back. Maybe it occurs to him that he's not really the best batter in the England team, not with Joe Root in his later-life purple patch. And maybe he's not the best number five in Test cricket, either, not with Travis Head and Kamindu Mendis coming in at three down too.
