The Last Dinner Party have announced the cancellation of more concerts on their UK and Ireland tour.

This past weekend, the band took to social media to announce the last-minute postponement of their Cardiff concert after a member fell ill. Now, the queer rock band have cancelled four more upcoming concerts in Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol and Southampton.

They wrote on X: "This is due to an unforeseen illness in the band and, following medical advice, we have to prioritise our health at this time."

They continued, "TLDP is here today because of you and we want to keep touring and sharing our music with you for a long long time - but in order to do that we have to make serious decisions like these now so that our long-term health doesn't suffer."

The cancellations come amid controversy over the treatment of male concert-goers at a Lincoln venue.

The Nothing Matters hitmakers said they were "appalled and disappointed" after The Engine Shed enforced a security policy that discriminated against men, especially those who were alone.

The venue has apologised, saying the policy was in response to information they'd received about "incidents" at a previous gig, but they acknowledged it resulted in "the unacceptable treatment of some guests".

"I appreciate they're trying to create a safe space," one fan said on X. "But it was over-the-top and definitely discriminatory against men who come alone."
