The details for the farewell of Shane MacGowan have been revealed.
The Pogues singer's funeral will be held in his home county of Tipperary on Friday.
It is understood MacGowan's remains will be brought in a funeral cortege from his family's homeplace of Nenagh to Dublin City for a public procession on Friday morning. It will then be taken back to Tipperary for cremation.
The mass in Nenagh will be open to the public.
Irish President Michael D Higgins is expected to attend the Fairytale of New York singer's funeral, along with high-profile guests from the entertainment industry.
MacGowan died at his Dublin home on Thursday aged 65, just over a week after he had been released from hospital following several months of treatment.
It was revealed on Friday the punk rock legend died of pneumonia, following a lengthy battle with viral encephalitis, which he was diagnosed with in 2022.
