Real Madrid and FC Barcelona would look to rekindle their rivalry once more this season as they lock horns against each other in the finals of Spanish Super Cup, at Riyadh. Both teams would be quite content with their performance in their semifinal clashes, as Barca defeated Osasuna 2-0, with Real Madrid edging past Atletico Madrid 5-3, with two goals coming in the dying minutes of extra time.
A clash of the titans, on the Arabian soil
Real Madrid and FC Barcelona- the historic El Clasico clash, is once again set to take center-stage at Saudi Arabia, for a second consecutive year, as the Spanish heavyweights look to renew their rivalry in the dreamy lands of Arabia, with some sweet memories of Arabian nights on the cards. A contest, often known by the fierce rivalry between several top stars, starting with Ronaldinho against Ronaldo, Messi against Cristiano Ronaldo to Bellingham against Pedri, El Clasico has always been looked upon as one of the famous battles in the football history. With one game this season which went against FC Barcelona as Real Madrid’s latest recruit Jude Bellingham announced himself on the biggest stage by scoring a brace, thus snatching the bragging rights from the Catalan hosts, Barcelona would be prompted to look for redemption this time, as it is time for the finals of Spanish Super Cup, a tournament which was won by Barca last year, defeating the same rivals.
For the second straight year, the Spanish Super Cup final will be a Saudi Arabian El Clásico

With a semifinal clash between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, another humongous clash, termed as the Madrid Derby, Los Blancos edged past their crosstown rivals in a dramatic fashion, as they completed a perfect ‘remontada’ after being down to 2-3 with five minutes left to play, Dani Carvajal was instrumental in turning things round, scoring the equalizer, before Brahim Diaz punched the killer blow by scoring the final goal in 5-3 victory, in a game which see-sawed like anything.
For FC Barcelona, they had a rather calm game, with goals from Lewandowski and La Masia wonderkid Lamine Yamal setting the tempo of the game. The clash marked the return of magician Pedri, who came on the field after a long stint on the sidelines. Thus, with both teams having almost complete firepower, El Clasico final at Arabia would indeed look like a fairytale Arabian Night.

With a mouth-watering clash on the cards for both sides, Xavi and Ancelotti, the masterminds of both sides, would be looking to field their strongest eleven, but, injuries and suspensions would force them to resort to some changes.
As for Real Madrid, they would remain without the services of seasoned custodian Courtois, defenders Militao and Alaba, who are recuperating from ACL injuries. Fede Valverde would be fit to start after being subbed off in the first half of extra-time, and is expected to hold the fort in the midfield.

As for FC Barcelona, they would be without the services of their seasoned winger Raphinha, as the Brazilian was subbed off in the first half during their clash against Osasuna, thus La Masia prodigy Lamine Yamal, who became the youngest Super Cup scorer in that game, in slated to take his place on the wings. Ter Stegen and Cancelo would also be missing the game, as they are on respective stages of their recovery from injuries. Pedri is expected to start the game, after coming on as a substitute, as he showcased his wizardry on the field.
