Nordoff and Robbins, the UK's leading music therapy charity, has unveiled a star-studded second wave of recipients for the 2025 O2 Silver Clef Awards. This prestigious event, celebrating outstanding contributions to music while raising vital funds for the charity, will take place on the evening of Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London.
Joining the ranks of previously announced honourees David Gilmour, Rick Astley, Soul II Soul, and IDLES are a diverse array of musical talents. Folk-pop sensation Noah Kahan will receive the Best Male Award, a testament to his heartfelt songwriting and global success. Electronic music pioneers Chase & Status are set to take home the Best Group Award for their influential impact on the genre. Veteran vocalist Tony Christie, known for his timeless hits like "Is This the Way to Amarillo?", will be honoured with the Icon Award for his remarkable five-decade career. Finally, Irish pop and folk-rock legends The Corrs will be celebrated with the Legend Award, recognizing their enduring legacy and over 40 million album sales.
This year's O2 Silver Clef Awards marks a significant change, shifting from its traditional Friday lunchtime slot to an evening ceremony. Hosted by Edith Bowman, the event promises a blue carpet arrival, an exclusive awards presentation, and a live auction featuring rare music memorabilia and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
Sandra Schembri, CEO of Nordoff and Robbins, emphasized the critical importance of the event, stating, "It costs over £8 million a year to run our charity, and we urgently need to raise more funds to help us in our mission of providing vital music therapy to people across the UK who are living with dementia, are autistic, have learning difficulties or struggle with mental health challenges." The funds raised will directly support Nordoff and Robbins' transformative music therapy services, which offer a unique form of support to thousands across the UK.
Since its inception in 1976, the O2 Silver Clef Awards has been a cornerstone of Nordoff and Robbins' fundraising efforts, celebrating music's biggest names while generating crucial income for their life-changing work. In a further push to raise funds, Ticketmaster, sponsor of the Best New Music Award, has launched its annual O2 Silver Clef charity upsell, allowing fans to donate directly to Nordoff and Robbins when purchasing tickets.
With such an esteemed lineup, the 2025 O2 Silver Clef Awards is set to be an unforgettable evening, celebrating the power of music and its profound impact on countless lives.
