Newcastle United will face Chelsea in the Premier League showdown at the St James’ Park on matchday 13 this weekend.
Newcastle United struggled before the international break and are coming into this game after back-to-back defeats to Borussia Dortmund and Bournemouth.
On the other hand, Chelsea is slowly gaining momentum as they played a 4-4 draw against Manchester City at the Bridge before the international break.

Returning to the Champions League after two decades has given the Magpies a series of injuries and suspension throughout this campaign.
Moreover, after injuries to several first-team players, Eddie Howe’s side lost 2-0 to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, then suffered another 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth in the league.
With back-to-back defeats and a much-needed international break, the Magpies will return to St James’ Park, where they have won their last five domestic games without conceding.

Chelsea face a tricky fixture against the Magpies. However, a with vital 4-1 win against Tottenham Hotspurs and a 4-4 draw against Manchester City, Pochettino is slowly getting them back on track.
After netting just 13 goals in their first ten games in the Premier League, the Blues have now scored eight goals in just two games.
However, they sit in 10th position, ten points off the top-four spot. The Blues will come into this game with high confidence, and a win against the Magpies would also push their hopes to secure a top-four spot this season.

Callum Wilson, Harvey Barnes, Sven Botman, Jacob Murphy, Dan Burn, Elliott Anderson and Matt Targett are all out with injuries for this game.
However, Newcastle United will receive a big boost, as Alexander Isak is ready to travel with the squad. Centre-back Fabian Schar may also have a chance to feature in this game.
Bruno Guimaraes will also return to the starting XI after serving his one-game suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.
