Mind Zero is finally hitting stores, and is now available digitally via PSN. As a Persona fan, I’ve had my eye on this game since the initial Famitsu scans. I’ve been around for the whole journey, from anxiously awaiting a publisher, to waiting for its release date. Well, the day has finally arrived!
My stance on knockoffs is pretty straightforward. I say, let the companies deal with that. As far as I’m concerned, anything that draws inspiration from something I enjoy, is more than welcome.
The key difference with this particular game, is that it’s a first person dungeon crawler, much like the classic Persona games. Thankfully, its battle system isn’t classic Persona-esque. I don’t care much for the grid system.
From what I’ve seen, Mind Zero isn’t a particularly impressive Vita title, but my mind doesn’t have to be blown, as long as the game itself is solid. Sadly, I’m going to have to hold off for a bit on this one, due to lack of appropriate funds.
What do you think of Mind Zero? Do you think it’s a lame Persona knockoff, or do you think it’s a solid game in its own right?
