Michelle Williams showed she can take a joke in a new Australian advertisement.
The commercial shows the ex-Destiny's Child singer sitting on a park bench and checking her Uber One account.
"OK, OK, my Uber One membership savings don’t disappoint!” Michelle says, as a woman eating lunch next to her glances over, before returning her attention to her salad.
“You know what is disappointing?" Michelle then adds, "I was in one of the most iconic girl groups and no one recognises me.”
Suddenly, Michelle looks excited when a man's voice can be heard calling, "Michelle!" – but as she turns, smiling, to greet her fan, she realises he's just shouting at his dog.
"Michelle, you spit that out!" the man calls, as a small dog runs past with a baguette in its mouth. “Naughty Michelle! Michelle, naughty!”
Finally, to Michelle's relief, the woman on the bench turns to her and asks, "Sorry, but are you Michelle Williams?"
But her excitement at being recognised is shortlived, with the woman then handing her a purse as she says, "dropped your wallet".
Michelle took to social media to discuss the ad on Monday.
“I get to be in on the jokes. Certain jokes y’all know I don’t care too much about, especially 24 years later,” she said via Instagram.
"There are just certain things I don’t care about anymore."
