Mason Greenwood joins La Liga side Getafe on a season-long loan from Manchester United. Last week, United confirmed that Greenwood will never play for the club again following a investigation.
He was charged with attempted rape, domestic violence and controlling behavior in 2022. The Red Devils also confirmed that they are working to find a new club for him.
The winger was linked to many clubs from Germany, Italy, Spain and Turkey this summer. Lazio were close to signing him, but they left the negotiations on deadline day.
So now, he has joined Getafe on a season-long loan, and they have confirmed his arrival before the transfer window closed.

Moreover, Greenwood has not even played a single match since January 2022. But, now he will have a chance to return to playing regular football.
Man United released a statement after his departure: “The move enables Greenwood to begin to rebuild his career away from Manchester United. The club will continue to offer its support to Mason and his family during this period of transition.”
Furthermore, Getafe will not pay a loan fee for Englishman and will only cover a small part of his wages, the rest of the amount will be covered by United.
