Lily Allen hopes to release a new album later this year.
During Tuesday's episode of her Miss Me? podcast with friend Miquita Oliver, The Fear singer revealed she is hoping to release a follow-up to her 2018 album No Shame after a hiatus from the music industry.
Detailing her goals for the New Year, Lily said, "Firstly, I'm going to go and get my head straight for a bit. I'm doing a little bit of work on myself in this beginning period of the year, then I'm going to do some more writing, then I'm going to do my play (Hedda Gabler) - hopefully, maybe get an album out by the end of the year. That would be nice, wouldn't it?"
When TV personality Miquita expressed surprise at the revelation, the singer insisted that she was simply putting it out into the universe in an effort to make it happen.
"It's not real, I'm just trying to manifest it now," she added.
Miquita noted that Lily hadn't spoken so confidently about music for a while and suggested ideas for different sounds, to which she replied, "Listen, I've got this. We're bringing Lily Allen back in 2025."
The 39-year-old did not explain why she needed to "get her head straight", however, it has recently been reported that she has split from her husband, Stranger Things actor David Harbour. The reports have yet to be confirmed by the pair.
Going into detail about how she wanted to work on herself, Lily told her pal that she hopes to be less self-involved this year.
"I think I'm going to try and be less of a narcissist in 2025. Try and get rid of that narcissist energy... I need to be more empathetic. I've been quite wrapped up in myself and victimhood lately and I'm ready to move on," she stated.
