Leigh-Anne Pinnock has seemingly hinted that her now-husband Andre Gray once cheated on her.
While speaking to Glamour magazine for an interview published on Wednesday, the former Little Mix member implied that the soccer star cheated on her in the early days of their relationship.
Suggesting that Andre "still had a lot of growing up to do" when they first met, the singer said, "I think people often think that if something bad happens in a relationship - if you get cheated on or whatever - that it's automatically done, it's over, and that's fair enough, but in my case, I chose to work at it, and I am so happy that I did."
She attributed her and Andre's early struggles to the toxic masculinity he faced as a soccer player.
"Unfortunately, I think a big part of it was his environment and the stereotype that comes with it, in my case, I found it to be quite true, but I've watched him grow, and we've come so far," Leigh-Anne continued. "When you know you have something special, you want to fight for it. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, but if it does, my God, it feels great."
Leigh-Anne explained that her new music will shed light on both the positive and negative sides of their relationship.
"Being a mum, being newly married - there's all the positive side of it, but also the negative side, and how we've got to where we are. I wanted to show that although things might look perfect from the exterior, that's not always the case," she shared. "We've been through so much to the point where we could've split up, but we got through it, and I truly believe we had to go through all that to be the strongest couple we could be."
Leigh-Anne, 32, began dating Andre in 2016 and they got married in June. They share two-year-old twin girls.
