Kelly Rowland gets so "much flak" for texting via Microsoft Excel in the music video for her 2002 song Dilemma.

In the much-ridiculed moment, the former Destiny's Child star writes her collaborator Nelly a text message on an Excel spreadsheet.

When the blunder was raised during her recent appearance on Mystical Kitchen's Last Meal, Kelly replied, "Do you know how much flak I get from that?"

When the host Josh Scherer apologised for bringing it up again, she responded, "I'm so used to it now."

The Stole hitmaker confirmed that nobody on the set of the music video noticed she was texting in Excel at the time.

"No, and I'm actually mad at them that they didn't because they made me look nuts," she joked.

In the music video, Kelly writes, "WHERE YOU AT? HOLLA WHEN YOU GET THIS," on her Nokia phone and gets annoyed when Nelly doesn't text her back.

"What did you expect?" she jokingly said about the text never reaching Nelly. "Because it's just a draft, my dear."

During a 2016 appearance on Australia's The Project, the Just a Dream rapper defended the use of Excel in the video.

"That was the thing at the time," he insisted. "That was the new technology at the time. It looks a little dated now, I can see it."
