INDvsSL: Sri Lanka was bundled out for its second-lowest ODI total ever by India and the lowest-ever total in Asia Cup history, this happened during the Asia Cup 2023 final at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.

Hardik Pandya wraps up the innings with the final two wickets! 👏👏

A sensational Mohammed Siraj spell knocked the stuffing out of Dasun Shanaka’s side which opted to bat first after winning the toss. Sri Lanka folded for 50 in just 15.2 overs.

Sri Lanka’s lowest momentum in the 50-over format came in 2012 when it was rolled over for just 43 in 20.1 overs, resulting a 258-run defeat.

INDvsSL: Mohammed Siraj-led Indian bowling lineup never gave Sri Lanka a chance to come back
INDvsSL: Mohammed Siraj brought Sri Lanka down to their knees in just the first six overs of the match by picking a five-wicket haul in the Asia Cup final. Jasprit Bumrah started off with a wicket off the third ball and then Siraj just blew the top off the opposition’s batting lineup by taking four wickets in the fourth over alone. He then came back and dismissed Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka, thus completing his five-wicket haul in just his second over. Sri Lanka were thus left reeling at 12/6 in 5.4 overs at that point.

Ever since then Indian balling lineup has been unstoppable. While Siraj was the pick of the ballers for bagging six wickets for 21 in his spell of 7. Moreover, Hardik Pandya got the job done by dismissing Sri Lanka’s final wicket in the 16th over itself. By then, Sri Lanka was bowled out for 50 runs in 15.2 overs. Hence, Mohammed Siraj-led Indian bowling line up never gave the defending champion Sri Lanka a chance to come back in the first innings of the Asia Cup 2023 final.
