Geri Halliwell-Horner was a guest on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show this morning, chatting to Nicki Chapman (sitting in for Zoe Ball).
On how she finds time to write her book
Geri: There isn’t a right way to do it, but the other thing I’d say is discipline of time, so phones outside the room and literally, from 9 let’s say to 12, just write and then go and have a cup of tea, ‘cause otherwise you could get distracted by doing anything. I’ve got my computer here with me. I thought, you know, dead time in the car because I’m doing [book] number two.
On the Spice Girls getting together again
Nicki: Are we going to be sharing you with the other [Spice] girls?
Geri: At some point, I’d always love to do something. I love seeing them, it’s always nice. You know when the stars are aligned at some point... I’m so grateful to them and everyone that supported us along the way. I feel like it belongs to everyone.
Nicki: It’s going to be 30 years quite soon, surely there’s got to at least be ‘An Audience With’ I suppose?
Geri: Well something, but part of me thinks ok when is it, when do you celebrate? But when the time is right there’ll be something.
Nicki: But something spectacular?
Geri: Well I don’t know, we’ll have to put some ideas together.
