Dolly Parton is excited to hear more of Beyoncé's country music.

The Crazy in Love singer made history earlier this week when she became the first Black woman to top Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart with Texas Hold 'Em, one of the first songs from her upcoming country album.

Dolly, a legend of the music genre, gave her seal of approval to Beyoncé's new venture on Instagram on Thursday night.

"I'm a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she's done a country album," the 78-year-old wrote. "So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single."

The Jolene star added, "Can't wait to hear the full album! Love, Dolly."

During the Super Bowl on 11 February, Beyoncé surprised fans by announcing her ninth studio album Renaissance Act II, which will be released on 29 March. To celebrate the announcement, she simultaneously released Texas Hold 'Em and another song, 16 Carriages.

On the main Billboard Hot 100 chart, Texas Hold 'Em debuted at Number Two. 16 Carriages debuted at Number 38 on the Hot 100 and Number Nine on Hot Country Songs.

Dolly isn't the only country star to publicly support Beyoncé's new sound; Maren Morris and Lainey Wilson have recently praised her new crossover.

"I think the leaning into country elements, and sort of reclaiming country music back to Black people, because they created the genre, is such a statement," Maren told E! News, while Lainey said to Extra, "I love it. The more the merrier."
