The Importance, Advantages and Precautions Regarding Two-Factor AuthenticationWhat is 2FA?
2FA (in English) or A2F is a tool that provides more security for you, the user. Through it, if by chance someone gains access to your login and tries to enter on another device, a code will be requested through an authentication application to confirm that you are you. This code is renewed every 60 seconds. There are some application options, including Google Authenticator, which is linked to your Google account.
Advantages:
- Starting today, anyone with 2-factor authentication enabled will earn an additional multiplier in the BONs calculation
- Being able to send invitations from the website
- Greater security for your account, for the tracker and for other users, preventing malicious people from gaining access
Precautions to be taken:
In case of any problems with the application or loss of the device, the website provides you with 10 emergency codes to be used in case you are unable to access the code normally generated by A2F. These emergency codes can only be used once each, that is, if you use the 10 codes carelessly, you will be left without the emergency codes. Therefore, keep the codes safe and preferably have them physically written down in case of any unforeseen events. We emphasize that if you lose access to the application and do not have the emergency codes, the staff will not be able to do anything to resolve the issue of accessing the account.
