The Gunners are in fine form in the Premier League this season as they are unbeaten in the league along with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Furthermore, they comfortably beat Bournemouth 4-0 away from home.
However, they did suffer their first defeat of the season this mid-week as RC Lens came from behind to beat them 2-1 in the Champions League. Moreover, Bukayo Saka also suffered an injury after the half-hour mark.
As for Man City, they got the better of RB Leipzig in Champions League, winning the game 3-1 at the Res Bull Arena.
Nevertheless, it was a tough game for them as the score remained 1-1 until the 80th minute. But Julian Alvarez and Jeremy Doku scored in the last ten minutes to make sure City got all three points.
After losing to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup and dropping 3 points against Wolves in the Premier League, City were desperate for a win ahead of a big game against Arsenal.
Arsenal Team News
The big absentee from this clash would be Arsenal’s main man, Bukayo Saka, as he suffered a hamstring injury this mid-week. Moreover, Gabriel Martinelli is also in doubt to start this game, but he has chances to start the game from the bench.
Nevertheless, the return of Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey is a big boost for Arteta’s side.
Manchester City Team News
Man City’s injury list is getting slimmer with time as John Stones and Bernardo Silva might be available to start against the Gunners.
But, they will miss the presence of Kevin De Bruyne, who will be out until 2024, and Rodri is serving his suspension after picking up a red card against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal vs Manchester City Predicted line-ups
Arsenal (4-3-3): Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Jesus, Nketiah, Trossard
Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Walker, Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol; Kovacic, Lewis; Foden, Alvarez, Doku; Haaland
Prediction
Arsenal 1-3 Manchester City
Despite being one of the best sides last year, Arsenal haven’t really tested Manchester City, plus Guardiola’s side have always been one step ahead of Arteta’s Arsenal.
Furthermore, their wingers Saka and Martinelli will be a big absence for them. However, they will hope that City’s struggle continues without Rodri.
