Oh deer, oh deer! The long wait is almost over for the upcoming supernatural horror shooter, Alan Wake 2. After 13 years the sequel finally comes out this month on October 27th, on PlayStation 5, PC via the Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series X|S. This is Remedy’s first survival horror game and their biggest and most ambitious game to date.
Alan Wake 2 pushes players into a psychological horror story from the perspective of two playable characters. Saga Anderson risks her life to solve a deadly mystery of murders in the Pacific Northwest while Alan Wake attempts to rewrite his reality to escape the depths of the Dark Place, a nightmare version of New York City.
You can also check out a few gameplay clips below, including the Saga gameplay reveal. But expect plenty of intense horror gameplay, brutal combat and the memorable light mechanic from the first game, that sees players burn away darkness from enemies, allowing them to be attacked. Alan Wake 2 looks more horror-focused, a clear inspiration from the recent Resident Evil remakes. And we can't wait to play it when it arrives for PS5, Xbox Series S/X and the Epic Games Store.
