Taylor Swift has changed one of her most longstanding concert rules.
The Welcome to New York singer dropped the news on an unsuspecting crowd in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday night.
Famous for never repeating her 'surprise' acoustic tracks from one concert to the next, it seems Taylor wants to open up her repertoire.
"This is sort of like a public service announcement," Taylor told the audience.
"I want to be as creative as possible with the acoustic set moving forward and I don't want to limit anything or say, 'If I played this song, I can't play it again.'
"So, from now on, I don't want to take any paint colours out of the paintbox or tools out of the toolbox.
"I want to be able to play songs more than once if I feel like it and I want to be able to make changes to songs. Does that sound OK?"
The crowd's rapturous applause certainly suggested this new strategy would be fine by them.
Taylor made good on her promise to "change things" during her Melbourne shows, first performing a mashup of Come Back...Be Here from her 2012 album Red, and Daylight, which is the final song on her 2019 album, Lover.
The following night, Taylor treated the crowd to a mashup of Getaway Car, August and The Other Side of the Door.
