Sofia Richie has recalled the "surreal" moment her dad Lionel Richie walked her down the aisle.
The 25-year-old star, who married music executive Elliot Grainge in April this year, shared some details about one particularly emotional moment during the ceremony in an interview with Porter.
"We were giggling, crying, it was so surreal," she remembered.
Sofia also revealed she shared a special glance with her music legend father as they took more than seven minutes to walk down the aisle together.
"We have this little look we give each other," she smiled. "We just gave each other this smirk, we were like two giddy little kids following the rabbi, who was telling us what to do."
Sofia and Elliot tied the knot at the iconic Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France.
The pair were first romantically linked in 2021, shortly after Sofia ended her romance with Scott Disick.
During the interview, Sofia also revealed that growing up in the spotlight has taught her to keep certain things private, a lesson reinforced by her older sister Nicole Richie.
"She's such a veteran; she's really gone through it all," Sofia said of Nicole. "She reminds me that 'not everything needs to be shared; things can be private just for you.'"
Sofia added Lionel has always had the same outlook on fame, and strived to keep her grounded when she was growing up.
"I knew that, back at home, I had my normal childhood life," she recalled. "But if I were to step outside... I had that understanding of the bigger picture: my dad's this megastar, my sister is a TV star.
"I feel like I was kind of thrown into this world, whether I liked it or not; but I don't take it for granted."
