Sam Asghari has stated that he hopes Britney Spears "takes over the world"
The model/actor has reacted to the pop star calling him a "gift from God" in her newly released tell-all memoir, The Woman in Me.
"That made me smile, to be honest," Sam told a paparazzo of Britney's flattering comment on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old added, "I'm freakin' proud of her, and I hope she takes over the world."
Sam's comments come months after he filed for divorce from the Oops!… I Did It Again hitmaker. In the document, Sam listed the date of separation as 28 July 2023 and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their divorce.
It has been reported that Britney's memoir was completed before the pair called it quits. According to Page Six, a source confirmed that Britney, 41, "gave her final sign-off" to publishers just two weeks before she and her now-estranged husband split up.
Elsewhere in the bombshell memoir, Britney said of Sam, "I have an appreciation for how stable he is. I love that he doesn't even drink."
