Robbie Williams dedicated his hit song Angels to the fan who died after a fall following his recent concert in Sydney, Australia.
Robyn Hall, a woman in her 70s, suffered head injuries on 16 November after she fell down six rows of seats after the British singer's concert at Allianz Stadium. She subsequently died on Tuesday.
The Rock DJ singer acknowledged Hall's passing before he performed his song Angels in Melbourne on Wednesday night.
"I heard the news, the tragic news this week that a fan died in an accident after the show in Sydney and I feel that after all the years that I am you and you are me and we are each other when we come together," he said, according to fan footage posted on social media.
"So when something happens like this it breaks my heart. I've been thinking about it an awful lot, and I thought about it all the way through the show tonight. I just want to give a big shout-out and lots of love from me and my band to Robyn and Robyn's family."
He then urged the crowd, "Let's all sing up, she was somebody just like you that came to the gig just like you did tonight. And I think she deserves a big song and tonight this is for her."
Robbie then launched into his 1997 smash hit.
According to a spokesperson for the stadium, Hall attempted to step over seating rows instead of using the stairs after the show and she lost her footing and fell.
She was rushed to Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition and placed in an induced coma. The hospital confirmed her death on Tuesday.
