Remedy and Epic Games took to the stage at Gamescom 2023 with a new trailer for Alan Wake 2. The new trailer focuses on Alan Wake as he deals with living in a literal nightmare.“The Dark Place” trailer delivers a mix of gameplay and live action, and has all the classic Remedy hallmarks.
Alan Wake 2 pushes players into a depraved and disturbing psychological horror epic, which comes from the perspective of two playable characters. Remedy's Alan Wake was a cult classic action horror game, but now with Alan Wake 2, the horror is the main focus with Resident Evil being a massive influence on the game.
We see Saga Anderson diving into dark places as she tries to solve a gruesome string of murders in the Pacific Northwest, all the while our beloved mystery writer Alan Wake is trying to write a way to escape the depths of the Dark Place, a nightmare version of New York City.
Players will take on powerful supernatural enemies, and the worse nightmares come to life, as the ever-changing perspective of Saga and Alan's journey presents thrilling dangers, a complex mystery and many twists and turns for sure. Will both characters find the light in the darkness, before it consumes all?
