The ultra-famous Pokémon series is crossing over into another Nintendo game franchise, Art Academy, to give us the aptly named Pokémon Art Academy on the Nintendo 3DS. This title will teach gamers artistic techniques that can transfer into the real world, through 40 different Pokémon-drawing lessons. The touch screen controls will let users simulate creating art with pencils, paint and pastels, while drawing classic Pokémon like Pikachu and Charizard, along with newer characters like Oshawatt and Fennekin.
Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing, said that "the Pokémon characters themselves are among the most endearing and enduring aspects of the Pokémon video games, with everyone having their own favorite. Pokémon Art Academy lets fans deepen their connection with these iconic characters by providing detailed lessons teaching how to draw them on their Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 2DS in a straightforward and enjoyable way."
Pokémon Art Academy will be released this fall, both in stores and on the Nintendo eShop
