Nicki Minaj has pushed back the release date of her upcoming album Pink Friday 2 once again.
The Super Bass rapper announced during an Instagram Live on Tuesday night that her long-awaited fifth studio album will be released on 8 December, her 41st birthday.
"The new album date for this incredible body of work, that I am so proud of is... it will come out on my birthday," she told fans during the livestream. "Pink Friday 2 I am so happy to announce will be out on my birthday."
Pink Friday 2, seemingly the sequel to her 2010 debut album Pink Friday, was originally due to be released on 20 October. However, Nicki revealed in June that it would be delayed until 17 November.
"I've been trying to find the right time to tell you this for a few days. Due to some really exciting news that I'll share with you guys @ a later time, I've shifted the album date just a tad bit," she explained at the time. "I love you guys so much. I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn't even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless, you. will. love. this. album."
During the livestream, the Super Freaky Girl hitmaker also revealed that the Pink Friday 2 tour will be officially announced on 17 November, the album's previous release date.
