Mithali Raj and Gujarat Giants have mutually parted ways ahead of the 2025 Women's Premier League auctions, Cricbuzz understands. Mithali, who had served as the mentor and advisor of the franchise, had recently taken up a new assignment with the Andhra Cricket Association.
Mithali was initially signed for three years by the franchise, but the partnership has ended after only two seasons in which Giants finished at the bottom. Meanwhile, Giants' bowling coach Nooshin Al Khadeer, who was on a two-year contract with the franchise, has also opted to not renew her contract with the franchise. She is currently serving as the coach of the India Under-19 Women's team.
Giants are expected to make an announcement for their replacements on Thursday (December 12), three days ahead of the WPL auctions. Meanwhile, head coach Michael Klinger and fielding coach Carl Hopkinson are expected to continue in their respective roles.
