This weekend Microsoft revealed their agenda for next week's E3. Their presence at the convention will include several special events, both online and in Los Angeles.
"We can’t wait to share more with those of you watching from home or the office, but we also realize that some fans might want to do more than just watch," Microsoft said on Xbox Wire. "Although many E3 events are closed to the public, we know that a lot of our fans live in the greater Los Angeles area and would love to take part in celebrating all things Xbox."
On June 8th, the Microsoft Store in Century City will giving away tickets to the Xbox press conference at E3. A hundred lucky gamers will earn tickets to the media-only event through a raffle. The Microsoft Store will also let customers get hands-on time with upcoming indie titles. The event will run from 1-3 PM, with the line opening at 11 AM.
The following day, Microsoft will host a pre-show for their Xbox E3 Media Briefing. The event, streaming through Xbox.com and Xbox Live, will include sneak peeks at new games as well as interviews with developers and celebrity fans. Celebrity fans? Okay. This "green carpet" event will kick off at 9am.
The Xbox E3 Media Briefing, kicking off at 9:30 AM, will feature demos of previously revealed games as well as trailers for unannounced 2014 games. The press conference will be broadcast through Spike TV in the U.S. and Canada. You can also watch it through your web browser, console, or Windows Phone.
The "post-game show" will follow at 11:15 AM. This Twitch event gives the public a chance to ask questions about games shown during the conference. 343 Industries head Bonnie Ross and Insomniac Games CEO Ted Price are among the developers appearing on the show. Xbox executives like Phil Spencer, Chris Charla and Yusuf Mehdi will also be in attendance. Microsoft will reveal how gamers can submit questions soon.
That evening, the Century City Microsoft Store will hold a preview event for Insomniac Games' Sunset Overdrive. Gamers will be able to go hands-on with the Xbox One exclusive during the event. Members of the development team as well as Microsoft's Major Nelson will be on hand during the event. The Sunset Overdrive will run from 6 to 9 PM.
From Tuesday to Thursday, the Xbox Twitch channel will be showing off gameplay footage from the E3 show floor. Two different indie games will be shown off each day, with developer stopping by to answer questions from viewers.
"We’ll also be taking many other titles over to the Twitch E3 booth throughout the week, so keep an eye on the main Twitch channel as well," Microsoft said. "The full broadcast schedule will be revealed at the beginning of E3 week."
