Marco Verratti joins Al Arabi to end his 11-year stay at PSG. The Qatari side will pay around €45 million for Verratti, a record fee for Qatar league.
The 30-year-old will sign a three-year contract with his new club. The Italian midfielder was out of favor under new manager Luis Enrique and was yet to feature in any match this season.

Verratti joined PSG in 2012 from Serie B club Pescara. Furthermore, he went on to win the Ligue 1 nine times and helped the club reach the Champions League final in 2020.
The Italian was a key part of Italy’s successful Euro 2020 campaign. Moroever, Saudi Pro League clubs were also interested in signing him, but were unable to complete the deal by 7 September deadline day.

After his transfer to Al Arabi was confirmed, Verratti said: “I’ve been very proud to play for Paris Saint-Germain for over a decade, to rub shoulders with so many great players and to win 30 trophies. Paris, the club and its fans will always hold a very special place in my heart. I’ll forever be a Parisian.”
It has been an remarkable summer in Paris, as Verratti now follows Messi, Ramos, and Neymar to leave the Ligue 1 winners.
He will now link-up with his former PSG teammate Rafinha at Al Arabi. The duo played together at PSG between 2020 to 2022.
