In a surprising move, Manchester United has opted to terminate Sergio Reguilon’s season-long loan, triggering a break clause in the deal. The Spanish defender, who joined United in September as cover for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, will now return to Tottenham. As Reguilon has only played for Manchester United this season, FIFA rules allow him to join another club if he departs during the January transfer window. Talksport reports that Tottenham is considering either loaning out Reguilon again or exploring a potential sale in January.
