Louis Tomlinson has admitted ongoing relationship conspiracy theories "irritate" him.
The singer opened up about ongoing speculation he and former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles were romantically linked.
A contingent of the two artists' fans, known as 'Larries', short for "Larry Stylinson", strongly believes the two had been, or still are, secretly a couple.
“What’s tough is – I realised this some years ago – there is nothing I can say,” Louis, 32, told Brazilian news outlet G1.
“There is nothing I can do to dispel the believers of that conspiracy."
He went on to say he couldn't see how the conspiracy theorists would ever have their beliefs dispelled.
“They are so intertwined with what they believe to be the truth now that they won’t actually see the truth for what it is,” Louis continued.
“I’d be lying if I – it does irritate me a little bit, but it is just kind of the nature of the job."
Louis, who shares shares 8-year-old Freddie Reign with stylist Briana Jungwirth, also admitted he gets frustrated by how "personal" the online conversation sometimes becomes.
"At times it gets far too personal," he said.
"I have my son, Freddie. He is the most important person in my life. Occasionally, it kind of broaches some stuff that’s really unfair.”
