Liam Gallagher has snubbed Oasis' nomination for a place in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
The Oasis singer responded to the prestigious nomination by writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, “F**k the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS LG x.”
Responding to fans who were urging each other to vote for Oasis, he wrote, "Don’t waste your time...as much as it’s appreciated it’s all a load of bollox," and “I don’t need some w**k award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat."
Liam also took the opportunity to make a dig at his brother Noel, the lead guitarist and songwriter of Oasis.
“This little fella loves hanging out with celebrities so he’d prob go,” he said of Noel.
Other nominated acts for the 2024 Hall of Fame award include Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, the late Sinéad O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest.
The winner is partly determined by fan vote, while the remaining decision is made by the Rock Hall board.
The award ceremony is held in Cleveland later this year, but Liam has already made it clear he won't be attending, saying he'll be “washing my hair and having a pedicure and a manicure."
Oasis was formed in 1991 and split up in 2009 after Liam and Noel fell out. They were nominated for three Grammy awards and were known as arguably the biggest guitar band of the 90s.
