Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are mourning the loss of their drummer Aaron Spears.
The drummer's wife Jessica announced on his Instagram account on Monday that the musician had died aged 47.
Justin reacted to the news on his Instagram Stories by writing, "We lost a beautiful man and inspiration to all of us drummers. @aspears prayers for your family and loved ones you will be remembered and celebrated."
Ariana initially commented on Jessica's post, writing that she was "heartbroken", before issuing a more detailed tribute to Aaron on her Instagram Stories.
"We were all so incredibly lucky to know Aaron," the Break Free singer penned. "The absolute brightest light of a human being. Always the kindest, always smiling. I am so honored and thankful that our paths crossed and to have spent so much very special time together. thank you for your utter brilliance, for our laughs, and for your kindness always. I will miss your hugs. You are so, so loved and will be so very missed."
Meanwhile, Blink-182 star Travis Barker also reacted to the death of his fellow drummer, commenting on the announcement, "I have no words. I love you so much my brother and will miss you. This doesn't seem real."
During his career, Aaron also worked as a drummer for Usher, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and many more. He was nominated for a Grammy in 2004 for his work on Usher's album Confessions.
Jessica did not share details about the time, place or cause of Aaron's death in her statement.
