John Stamos has admitted that he once yelled at Elizabeth Taylor on the set of General Hospital.
In his new memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, the Full House star recalled the moment he called the legendary film star "old" on the set of the long-running medical drama.
While filming a scene, John noticed that someone was "putzing around in the distance. I try to ignore it and go on, but the person is making a racket trying to set up what looks like a director's chair. I hear a popping sound. What the hell?"
He recalled, "For the first time, I really lose it on set and yell out, 'Will someone get that old woman out of my eyeline!' That old woman is Elizabeth Taylor. There she is, in all her lavender-eyed glory, poised in a director's chair, sipping champagne."
John, who played Blackie Parrish on the ABC show, revealed that the veteran actress had been on set to visit Anthony Geary, who played the character Luke Spencer.
"(Actor) Chris (Robinson) quickly tells me who she is, and I'm so embarrassed," the 60-year-old confessed in the memoir, reports Hollywood Life. "I can't believe I lost my s**t in front of Elizabeth Taylor. My dad is going to kill me. I mute my tantrum, apologize profusely, make some excuse about calling her old, then slither back to the set and continue the scene."
He added, "This time, I cry my eyes out."
Although the Cleopatra star had just been visiting the set at the time, she had previously appeared on the soap opera as Helena Cassidine.
John portrayed Blackie from 1982 until 1984. He then went on to star in Full House as Jesse Katsopolis, which turned out to be his breakout role.
If You Would Have Told Me was released on Tuesday.
