La Liga giants FC Barcelona have officially agreed on terms to sign Atletico Madrid player Joao Felix as per the latest reports right from Spain.

According to the reports, the Portuguese player will officially be declared as a Barcelona player as soon as La Liga approves of the club’s personal guarantee.
Other than the fact that Felix himself had described a move to Barcelona as a dream move for his career for a long time, even Barcelona president Joan Laporta had expressed his keenness in making this transfer possible.

According to the insiders, Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez had not been so eager about the move; however, it appears that the club hierarchy made the move possible by convincing the head coach, especially now that Ansu Fati’s exit looms large over the Catalans.
Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, as said to be expecting that Barcelona cover the entire salary of Felix and were apparently holding out a loan fee of about 8 million euros.

The details about this deal mention no specifications if these conditions put forth by Atleti have been met or not, or whether completely different agreements have been made. What is understood is the fact that the Portuguese youngster is more than willing to even accept pay cuts to join his dream team of Barcelona.
As a result of the delays in payment provided by the Libero Football Fund, Barcelona board apparently would have to make personal guarantees that they are capable of signing and registering new players.
