Jennifer Lopez has admitted she was scared to be alone, before reuniting with now husband Ben Affleck.
Talking on the Kelly Clarkson Show, the 54-year-old revealed she worked hard on learning to be happy with her own company, before a "plot twist" led her to reunite with former fiance Ben Affleck.
"I don't know if it's because I was a middle child or because we had one bed, and we shared a bed with my sisters so I was used to having bodies around," she said. "I got very comforted by that and I liked that feeling."
She admitted she consciously tried break the pattern of needing to be in a relationship. "I am much better at it now and it took a lot of work. It takes a lot of work to change anything about yourself and the patterns."
The singer was on the talk show to chat about her new movie, documentary and album, all titled This Is Me... Now.
In the movie, the Let's Get Loud singer shares that getting back together with Ben, 20 years after they split was a "plot twist" that neither of them saw coming.
"This is not a fairy tale...this is a real tale."
