Important announcement!
Tagging is a core part of the site. Imagine how difficult it would be to find your favorite, or avoid your least favorite, content without the tagging system we have in place. For years we have relied on a specific group of volunteers, the Tag Team, to help with encouraging and curating torrent tagging and keeping tag synonyms lists up to date on the site. As the site evolves, and we eventually move on from a category based torrent system to an tag based system, the importance of this becomes even greater. So much so that we believe that everyone should be encouraged to work as a member of the Tag Team. Everyone can, and should, take part in what we have relied on just a few to do for so long.
We have come to feel that assigning this role to only a select few gives the false impression that those are the only members who have a responsibility for improving our tagging use on the site.
Tagging is for everyone!
Therefore, we are announcing that we are officially removing the Tag Team role from the site. This is not a reflection of the job that these dedicated users did. Rather, it is an encouragement for everyone to take part in these activities.
Please drop a message here to make sure that all members of the Tag Team, both past and present, know how much you appreciate their efforts over these years. Now we encourage everyone to continue that legacy and take ownership over this critically important part of the site.
