UNIT3D Has Pushed Out An Update!
UNIT3D has had an update pushed out today, I have been going through the change log to see what has changed. As of right now most of it looks to be backend admin/staff stuff. There are a few changes that have been pushed as well to help you guys out with searches and a few other very minor things. Such as the bookmarks not working as intended (I had no idea). When you @mention a user in a thread it will now correctly ping them. You will also be able to toggle the advance search box to always show when you go to the torrent page. You will be able to have a default sort option now as well. A minor thing but something I never thought of was when clicking on the announce URL is will auto copy it to your clipboard now.
With that being said I went through some of the changes and found I am not able to just push the update due to a few heavily modified code sections for our site, such as the quick search, They have made an update to it to allow it to search "faster". I will find a way to integrate it into the existing code but it will take some time.
So for right now I do not have any plans to bring the site down for the update as there could be a few bugs that pop up from the "normal" trackers, so I need to see those first. Also they do plan on doing another update next weekend as well with a few other additions, they are waiting on an upstream bug to get fixed with livewire.
Exciting news with the few updates they have pushed but they did not get the API fix into this update unfortunately so still now auto upload bot as of yet. If we do plan on taking the site offline to push the update we will be sure to give you a few days notice.
