Bangladesh Cricket Board's Head of Programs David Moore is unlikely to continue in his post after completing his tenure due to family commitments.

The Australian was appointed for a two-year term in January 2023 and his contract officially ends on December 31, 2024.

A top BCB official confirmed the development to Cricbuzz and also stated that a call on further developments shall be taken shortly by the Board.

"Yes he informed us (that he will not stay after the end of his tenure that ends this December," BCB director Nazmul Abedin told Cricbuzz on Thursday (December 12).

"The Board will decide regarding their next course of action when the time comes," he added.

It is understood David also got an offer in Sydney apart from the family commitments.

Moore's role with the BCB revolved around planning, devising strategies and implementation of the High Performance unit and Bangladesh Tigers programs. This ensured that the programs would directly benefit the national team's progress. Moore was also assigned to oversee the development programs for coaches.

Meanwhile, a BCB official also revealed that the Board had decided to bring back David Hemp as the head of the High Performance Unit as he was released from the national duty where he served as batting coach.
