Happy New Year! – Avatar Migration Event
To kick off 2026, we’re running a small community event that helps us finish an important cleanup — and rewards you for a few minutes of avatar maintenance.
What is this event about?
Over the past weeks, BrokenStones has been migrating its image database away from legacy image hosts. This became especially important after Imgur blocked access for UK users.
Thanks to a lot of behind-the-scenes work, most of the migration is now complete. However, some user content — mainly avatars and profile images — is still hosted on Imgur. This event is your chance to help us finish the job.
How do I participate?
Rehost your current avatar on a supported image host
Upload a new avatar if you do not currently have one
Make sure your avatar follows the rules:
- Maximum 400px width or height
- Maximum file size: 256 KB
- Hosted on an approved image host

Reward
All eligible participants will receive 5 Freeleech Tokens.
Each token can be used on any torrent up to 25 GB with zero ratio impact.
Tokens will not be distributed instantly, but everyone who qualifies will receive them.
Once your avatar is set, simply comment “Updated!” in THIS forum thread to receive your tokens.
Already compliant? You still win!
If your avatar already follows our rules, just post in this contest thread anytime between January 1st and 31st to automatically qualify for the reward — no changes needed.
The only requirement is that your avatar follows our:
Image Hotlinking Rules and
Avatar Rules
Quick summary: max 400px width/height, max 256 KB file size, and hosted on an approved image host.
