The I'm A Slave singer posted a cryptic message on her X account on Friday, hinting that she may have something up her sleeve.
The caption read simply: “Something’s coming”, alongside a video with the words: “Something New. Coming Soon. Sign up for the mailing list to be the first to know.”
Her first hit song Baby One More Time plays in the background as the video rolls. The song celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
Fans were quick to speculate what her announcement could be, as Britney recently declared she won’t be dropping new music any time soon.
“Just so we’re clear, most of the news is trash,” she wrote in a previous Instagram post. “They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album…I will never return to the music industry!”
She then then deleted her entire Instagram account, which had 43 million followers.
Fans were quick to speculate what her teaser could mean, with one suggesting: “To anyone who doesn't automatically realize it's new merch... bless your heart."
