Britney Spears has told her fans that she's relocated to Mexico.
It was believed that the Toxic hitmaker had flown to Mexico for a holiday to celebrate her 43rd birthday on Monday, however, the singer later claimed in an Instagram video that she has moved to the country to escape the paparazzi.
"It really kind of hurts my feelings that the paparazzi make my face look like I'm wearing a white Jason mask," Britney said, referring to the Friday The 13th character.
"It doesn't even look like me. They've always been incredibly cruel to me... the way they've illustrated me to be. I know I'm not perfect at all by any means, but some of it is extremely mean and cruel and that's why I've moved to Mexico."
Her comments come weeks after Britney told her fans she was "probably moving (to Mexico) soon" in mid-November. In the since-deleted Instagram post, the pop star explained that she feels like a "completely different person" away from home and can't help but "cry every time I leave there".
Earlier on Monday, Britney shared a video of her chocolate and strawberry-covered birthday cake and claimed that she was celebrating her fifth birthday rather than her 43rd.
She bizarrely said, "I'm turning five-years-old and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow."
Monday marked a double celebration for the Overprotected hitmaker as she was declared legally single following her divorce from Sam Asghari.
