Britney Spears is reportedly close to finalising her divorce with Sam Asghari.
Model and fitness trainer Sam confirmed he had filed for divorce in August, with irreconcilable differences cited as the reason for the split.
While Britney later admitted she “couldn’t take the pain anymore” and the pair unfollowed each other on social media, it has been reported an agreement to formally end the marriage will soon be reached.
TMZ claims relations between the former couple are “cordial” and Sam will not contest their prenuptial agreement.
Lawyers for both parties are believed to be working hard to settle the case.
“Britney and Sam have had little to no contact, so ‘cordial’ is a stretch, but there is no drama currently,” a source told Page Six.
The Toxic singer married Sam in a star-studded ceremony in Los Angles in June 2022 after the pair had dated for six years.
However, court documents revealed they had parted ways by late July 2023.
Sources later alleged that 41-year-old Britney and Sam, 29, had frequently argued and the relationship had been on the rocks for some time.
Since leaving the marital home, Sam is believed to have moved into a luxury Los Angeles apartment, with Britney reportedly covering the $10,000 a month rent.
