Boy George: My jungle advice for Sam Thompson? Don’t do all the things I did!

When Boy George popped into the Greatest Hits Radio studios for a chat with Ken Bruce, Ken took the opportunity to ask him if he has any advice for Hits Radio presenter Sam Thompson. Sam is currently in Australia and about to be seen in this year’s I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Boy George took part in last year’s show and was the fourth star to leave the camp.

Boy George told Ken: ‘You go in thinking you can handle anything, but it takes you out of every possible comfort zone. Food is the one thing that agitates everyone!

I would say breathe, stay calm and get involved in everything. The tasks are the fun bit because all the sitting around in camp is very boring. So, when you go out to do a task it’s kind of invigorating. I actually really enjoyed the tasks because my boredom threshold is very low! Get involved, don’t argue with people, don’t say too much – don't do all the things that I did! Ignore what I did!’

Ken also asked the Culture Club singer what his favourite bit about the jungle was, to which Boy George responded - ‘Leaving!’
