Billy Ray Cyrus has revealed his family is "so close to a full healing" amid years of rumoured feuds.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday to mark Mother's Day, the country star credited his mother Ruth and grandmother Mary for passing down a love of music and the ability to "play music by ear".
Billy went on to praise his daughter Miley Cyrus for recently addressing reports suggesting they weren't speaking due to a years-long disagreement, with her insisting "bridges have been built" in a candid statement.
"I'm so proud of Miley and her guts and her courage... her wisdom and strength to bring it when our family needed it most," he wrote in response to the 32-year-old's comments. "We are so close to a full healing. We have all been through a lot."
Elsewhere, Billy asked fans to give "an extra prayer" for the Cyrus family.
The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker also noted that he is thinking of the people who had lost children "in service of our country".
"Please put a prayer in for them also... or give them mine if need be. Our family can heal. We are all still here. Those family's have suffered a loss that cannot be replaced or changed (sic)," the 63-year-old continued.
To conclude, Billy gave a shout-out to his ex-wife Tish Cyrus, whom he described as the "very definition of a strong mother". The pair was married from 1993 until 2022.
"Trust me, I'm the first to admit... being married to me was not easy. I'm very good at making mistakes. A very imperfect man. But thank goodness... somewhere along the line my Mama also taught me life is a series of adjustments. Ha ha! Yep. Being honest here. Since I was a kid... I had to learn that lesson the hard way. Funny how history repeats itself. Full circle," he concluded.
Last month, Billy confirmed he was dating Elizabeth Hurley, while Tish married Prison Break star Dominic Purcell in 2023.
